Sherriff "Riff" Bisiriyu is Founder and CEO of WakaEat, a global technology platform redefining how African cuisine is discovered, delivered, and experienced worldwide.
A U.S. and Nigerian dual citizen with over a decade of experience leading complex healthcare technology deployments across U.S. federal and enterprise systems, he has executed mission-critical infrastructure supporting Department of Defense and Department of State environments. That same systems-driven discipline now powers WakaEat's architecture and market strategy.
Having traveled to nearly 30 countries across Africa, Europe, and North America, Riff recognized a consistent global pattern: African cuisine commands loyalty, scale, and cultural depth, yet it lacks a unified digital backbone. Demand was everywhere. Infrastructure was not.
WakaEat was built to close that gap.
Before seeking external capital, he personally invested over $170,000 to design and build WakaEat's multi-app infrastructure, demonstrating long-term conviction and belief in the platform's global potential.
Today, he is leading WakaEat's mission to become the defining global marketplace for African food commerce, connecting culture, community, and opportunity across borders.
